Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before using any services offered by Hildegard Herbals (“we,” “us,” or “our”), including herbal consultations, custom herbal remedies, digital books, webinars, and online courses. By accessing our website, booking a consultation, or purchasing any product or service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
1. About Hildegard Herbals
Hildegard Herbals is a herbalism practice based in Alberta, Canada, offering wellness consultations, custom herbal remedy preparation, and educational products to clients across Canada. We operate in accordance with applicable provincial and federal laws.
2. Not Medical Advice
Important Health Disclaimer: The services, products, information, and educational content provided by Hildegard Herbals are for general wellness and informational purposes only. They do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Herbal consultations are complementary wellness support and are not a substitute for professional medical care from a licensed physician or regulated health professional.
Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before beginning any herbal program, especially if you are pregnant, nursing, taking prescription medications, or managing a medical condition. We are not liable for any health outcomes resulting from the use of our products or services.
3. Eligibility
Our services are available to individuals who are 18 years of age or older and located in Canada. By using our services, you represent that you meet these requirements. If you are booking on behalf of a minor, you accept full responsibility for their participation and for reviewing all applicable disclosures on their behalf.
4. Consultations
a) Booking and Appointments
Consultations must be booked in advance. By booking, you agree to provide accurate and complete health information. Incomplete or inaccurate information may affect the quality of recommendations provided.
b) Cancellations and Rescheduling
We require at least 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule a consultation. Cancellations made with less notice may be subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the session fee. No-shows without notice will be charged the full session fee.
c) Scope of Service
Herbal consultations involve a review of your wellness history and goals, followed by personalized lifestyle and herbal wellness suggestions. We do not diagnose illness, prescribe medications, or guarantee specific health outcomes.
5. Custom Herbal Remedies
Custom herbal products are prepared based on information you provide during your consultation. By ordering a custom remedy, you confirm that:
- You have disclosed all relevant health information, medications, and known allergies
- You understand that herbal products are not evaluated or approved by Health Canada as drugs unless otherwise labelled
- You accept responsibility for reviewing ingredient lists and consulting your doctor if you have concerns
Due to the custom and perishable nature of herbal remedies, all sales are final once production has begun. Please contact us promptly if you have concerns about your order.
6. Digital Products (E-Books)
Digital books and downloadable resources are delivered electronically after purchase. By purchasing a digital product, you agree that:
- All sales are final — digital products are non-refundable once downloaded or accessed
- The content is for your personal, non-commercial use only
- You will not copy, reproduce, distribute, or resell the content without our prior written consent
7. Webinars and Online Courses
a) Access and Enrolment
Upon purchasing a webinar or course, you will be granted access as described at the time of purchase (e.g., lifetime access, one-year access). Access is personal and non-transferable.
b) Refund Policy for Courses and Webinars
Refunds for courses or webinars may be requested within 7 days of purchase, provided you have not accessed more than 20% of the course content. Live webinars are non-refundable once the session has commenced. To request a refund, contact us at kristina [at] hildegardherbals.ca.
c) Conduct
Participants in live webinars or group sessions agree to engage respectfully. We reserve the right to remove any participant who is disruptive, abusive, or violates community expectations, without refund.
8. Payments
All prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD). Payment is due at the time of booking or purchase unless otherwise arranged. We accept payment through stripe or e-transfer]. Payments are processed through secure third-party processors; we do not store your full payment details.
We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. Price changes will not affect confirmed bookings or purchases already made.
9. Shipping (Custom Remedies)
Custom herbal remedies are shipped within Canada only. Shipping timelines are estimated and may vary. We are not responsible for delays caused by couriers or customs. Risk of loss or damage transfers to you upon delivery to the carrier. If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 5 business days with photos and we will work to resolve the issue.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on our website, in our digital products, courses, and webinars — including text, recipes, formulations, graphics, and educational materials — is the intellectual property of Hildegard Herbals and is protected by Canadian copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any of our content without prior written permission.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Hildegard Herbals and its owner(s) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services or products, including but not limited to adverse reactions to herbal products, reliance on wellness information, or technical issues with digital product delivery.
Our total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service or product giving rise to the claim.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hildegard Herbals, its owner(s), and any contractors from any claims, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of our services, your breach of these Terms, or your provision of inaccurate health information.
13. Privacy
Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta and the applicable federal laws of Canada. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Alberta.
15. Dispute Resolution

16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on our website with a revised effective date. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
17. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed if modification is not possible. The remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
18. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional agreements entered into at the time of purchase or booking, constitute the entire agreement between you and Hildegard Herbals with respect to your use of our services.
